Suggestions For Learning a New Language

Hello there. .

Often I am asked for suggestions when someone is attempting to learn a new language. Many have exhausted much effort and $$$ reading books, CDs and taking college courses!

However, there are many other options available that can save you money and time.

If available in your area, there are language clubs that you can join for free. Most of these clubs meet once a week, month, etc. These clubs are usually made up of native speakers and those who are interested in learning a language.

Now some benefit from personal interaction with others. So, there is another method you may find helpful. If you know someone who is a native speaker of your target language, you can practice with them. That beneficial because they can correct you if you make mistakes and offer suggestions.

For those of you who do not know anyone, don't worry. There is help out there for you too. The are several companies that offer online help. For instance, some CD companies only offer you the information but no assistance is available otherwise. There is a company located in Alabama that offers information along with lingustic assistance. They offer online group classes that you can take right in the comfort of your own home, work or wherever you are. (As long as you have internet connection :>).

That may seem like an awkward method but believe me, IT WORKS! All you do is sign for one their classes, they send you an invitation for each class with a phone number for you to join. You get the instruction PLUS you get to participate and PRACTICE!!!! That way if you need more assistance they can help you.
